Legendary celebrity photographer Earl Moran, shot this photograph of Marilyn Monroe, then still known as ‘Norma Jeane Baker’ in 1946. This is one of a series of prints the topless Monroe poses for in a striped skirt, sitting on a couch edge. She was paid $50 for the day’s work. The photo was purchased by Playboy Enterprises in 1953 and first published in 1987. It was later to become part of the Playboy Legacy Collection in 2007.
